Your day by day program

1
Arrival in Cape Town

You will arrive at the Cape Town International Airport where you will be met by one of our team members and transferred to your first hotel in the heart of Cape Town's city.

Approximately 30 km (30 min’s drive depending on traffic).

2
Cape Town - a complete tour of the city

After a hearty breakfast, a briefing will be held to explain the entire itinerary.
During the rest of the day, you will get to know the city, walk its colorful streets, taste the local cuisines, meet the locals and marvel at some of the most well-preserved historical attractions on the continent - the castle, the botanical gardens, the famous Instagram streets of the Malay Quarters...Etc.

Exclusively - In the afternoon you will visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the world-The Table Mountain. Ride a cable car like the one in use at Titlis in Switzerland and Palm Springs in the United States.

At the end of the day, you will complete the motorbike rental papers for an efficient departure the next morning.

Lunch will be in town and dinner at the V&A Waterfront or at the hotel.

Approximate radius of 10 km (10 min‘s drive).

3
Cape of Good Hope and Stellenbosh

Today is the maiden departure to the Southernmost end of the Cape peninsula called the Cape Point. A landmark mostly mistaken for being the southernmost point of the continent.

You will pass the Hout bay Harbor before riding along the spectacular mountainous Chapman's Peak-usually compared to the Amalfi coast towards the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The reserve welcomes you with its uniquely adapted animals like the Rock Hyrax, Ostrich, Antelope, and baboons. Take pictures in front of the famous Cape of Good Hope sign, ride the flying Dutchman to the lighthouse at the top and grab a beer while staring at the majestic ocean .

Later, you will get a chance to meet adorable African penguins at the Boulders beach and pass-through old fishing villages before heading to the historic town of Stellenbosch, famous for its wine!

Dinner will be served in a restaurant or on a wine farm.

Approximately 160 km (4 hours' ride).

4
From Stellenbosh to Barrydale

In the saddle and off you go towards the beautiful Helshoogte Pass, one of the more popular roads for bikers. It links Stellenbosch to the charming and emblematic Franschhoek town, where you will stop to have a coffee. If you are there on a Saturday, the local outdoor food and craft market is a real treat!

Get ready for breathtaking landscape as we ride through the town towards the Franschhoek Pass, Theewaterskloof Dam, etc... Take a break at a beautiful wine estate (tasting not included) in a dorpie (small farming town) called Robertson where you will discover one of the oldest wine cellars in the region. You will have the opportunity in the evening to wind down to a few bottles of the local wines and catchup.

Finally, get onto the legendary R62 and discover a time-travel machine called Diesel & Crème Café in Barrydale which will without doubt, remind you of the USA. Just a few meters away, you will find your accommodation for the night in a Victorian-style mansion.

Approximately 240 km (3 hours and 45 minutes' drive).

5
From Barrydale to Oudtshoorn

Today, you will leave the dorpie of Barrydale and head off on the R62 ,making a quick stop at Ronnie’s Sex Shop- a biker’s bar - a bad joke that turned into a nice commercial success. Maybe even hang a spare bra on the ceiling like so many others before you!

Once you have hung your/a bra , you continue through a desert area known as the Karoo towards an Ostrich farm (not included) in the town of Oudtshoorn . You will be pleasantly surprised about what facts you discover on these farms.

Did you know that an ostrich feather was worth more just over a century ago than its weight in gold? Being the second toughest leather in the world, the choice of creativity and products is endless when shopping.

Spend one night in Oudtshoorn at a luxury hotel surrounded by nature.

Approximately 195 km (3 hours’ drive).

6
From Oudtshoorn to the East of Swartberg

Today you can start the way a little different, you can discover some curious little creatures- the meerkats. The early bird gets to experience this because to see them, you must be on their territory at the crack of dawn.
Later, you will discover the famous caves of the region, the Cango Caves (not included), marvel at the huge chambers of stalactites and stalagmites with acoustic quality, carefully preserved since its discovery by a humble farmer the last century.

From there, prepare to be amazed by one of the most impressive roads that you will ride on this trip -the Swartberg Pass is a hallmark of gravel road mountain passes for true adventure riders . Take this spectacular ride and experience the brilliance of the off-road tires that your bike is fitted with for the thrill of a lifetime. Riding on the occasional tar road, via the semi-arid areas of the Little Karoo into the evening, dodging the giant lizards crossing your path.

In the evening you will stop in a very local town full of character and old Victorian charm...

Approximately 211 km (4 hours’ drive).

7
From Swartberg to Jeffrey's Bay

This day is going to be a long day full of discoveries, you do not want to miss a thing!

The previous day's gravel road will have put you at ease for a magnificent road that leads you onto a scenic path meandering into the heart of beautiful valleys, rugged landscapes, and expansive farmlands.

You will finally reach the refreshing coastal road that will take you to the surfer town of Jeffrey’s Bay, home to one of the best surfing destinations in the world and host to the annual World Surf League for the Super tubes.

It's time to get out your bikinis for a surf lesson (not included, available on the beach) or to join one of the locals at a surf bars by the seaside.
The small town is also home to beach wear factory shops such as Quicksilver, Billabong and the like... something for the amateurs.

Since your hotel will be close to the beach, why not take advantage and grab a quick siesta! Maybe even let your hair down for a little outing into the town for the evening ?

Approximately 260 km (6 hours‘ drive).

8
Jeffrey's Bay to Plettenberg

After all the craziness from the past couple of days, we have scheduled a relaxing and laid-back ride for the day. Maybe start the day with a lazy breakfast or spend some time back on the beach in the morning, before departing for the short, sweet, and famous Garden Route.

The route is filled with nature and greenery and allows you to take your time to admire the scenic enroute. You make a slight detour through Nature’s Valley and discover its magnificent blue flag beaches with fine white sand as it entwines with nature itself.

Don't waste too much time on the way back, because your accommodation is superb! Your host will be waiting for you to prepare a Braai - the South African barbeque which is considered an art in this country.

All you will have to do is savor the meat and indulge in the sumptuous local red wine. A pure delight!

One night in the seaside town of Plettenberg bay, staying in a charming accommodation.

180 km (2.5 hours' drive).

9
From Plettenberg to Riversdale

After a hearty breakfast you leave Plettenberg bay and head for Knysna (/ˈnaɪznə/) and its estuaries, lagoons, and harbours via a beautiful forest roadway. The route eventually leads you onto yet another scenic “7 Passes” mountain road high up into the mountains and overlooking the landscape. We kept it interesting by weaving you back and forth via gravel tracks and roads.

Eventually, you will get to your next destination for an animal safari (not included) and lunch. In the afternoon, you return to a rustic farmhouse inn for the night.

Approximately 250 km (4 hours 30 mins' drive).

10
Riversdale to Stanford

On this day you take the coastal road, through some quaint farms and onto a ferry to cross the river – it has been the only way to get to the other side for decades.

Finally, we get to the southernmost tip of Africa - Cape Agulhas - to examine the meeting of the two oceans, Atlantic and Indian. Another great opportunity for memorable photos!

All roads finally read to a delightful establishment that produces its own wine and an exceptional homemade beer - a true connoisseur's corner!

A quick lunch stop before heading back to the quaint town of Stanford.
Dinner tonight is not to be missed- a true gourmand’s gem at the farmhouse inn where you stay.

Approximately 255 km (4 hours 45 mins' drive).

11
From Stanford to Hermanus – In search of the whales we go!

For this day, you will ride towards Hermanus, the capital of whaling whose remains are omnipresent.

It is time to embark on a discovery of these magnificent cetaceans via ethically managed boat-based whale watching experiences (not included) ... And for the most adventurous amongst you, immerse yourself in a cage that is dropped in the middle of a shiver of hungry Great White sharks (the quality of the metal on the cage depends on the price paid).

As if you have not had enough water sports for one day, we complete it for you with a proposal for an optional romantic sunset cruise on the river with the possibility of barbecue on board.

Return to the hotel in Stanford and hit the hay.
About 50 km (1 hours’ drive).

12
Stanford Valley to Cape Town

You leave Stanford via Hermanus - this is your last chance to taste one of the huge locally farmed oysters.

Ride along the coastal road and its many bays towards Clarence Drive. A truly spectacular ride, where the indigenous rich fynbos that covers the mountainside trails directly into the wild turquoise Cape coastline and is hugged by massive, white pebbled beaches all along the shoreline. A truly splendid sight to see with dramatic colour’s when kissed by the sunshine.

When you arrive in Cape Town, you return the motorbikes before returning to your hotel for a last night.

About 160 km (3 hours' drive).

13
Return or extension to Kruger Park / Victorial Falls / Chobe National Park.

Today, you will be dropped off at the airport for your return flight home - and for the lucky ones, a connecting flight for their chosen extension of the Kruger Park or the Victoria falls, to be done at least once in a lifetime!
